Inalto Rosso 2016

Made from Montepulciano grapes harvested at the end of October, with a yield of about 60 quintals per hectare. It ferments in steel and then in tonneaux, where it ages for 14 months, before a further eight months of ageing in the bottle.

Bright and ruby-red, a visual examination already  denotes its fresh and agreeable character. It is intense on the nose with red fruit, ripe cherry and plum, followed by a bewitching spiciness and a very slight animality in the hazy background. Refined to the taste, it is not a canonical Montepulciano d’Abruzzo with gentle tannins; it invites you to drink it, an excellent balance between smoothness and freshness.

The trademark of this wine is the excellent concordance in the mouth with the aromas found on the nose. It is extremely versatile for pairing, and we recommend it above all with a structured first course, such as pappardelle with wild boar, or a refined second such as veal goulash with potatoes.
