Inalto Pecorino Terre Aquilane Igt 2018
Made exclusively from Pecorino grapes harvested in mid-September, with a yield of 50 quintals per hectare, it is first macerated on the skins. Different percentages are then put into steel or wood, where it ferments spontaneously with the help of a pied de cuve for about four months.
Straw-yellow with slight greenish reflections, it is complex on the nose; yellow fruit and citrus scents, especially grapefruit and lime, all wrapped in a very pleasant note of smoke and iodine.
It has a marked and incisive mineral taste, with a citrus note returning from the olfactory sensation.
Supported by excellent acidity, it is a sharp wine but at the same time voluminous in structure, full of flavour, a proud mountain wine with a maritime echo, with a very persistent finish with a clear note of almond.
The Pecorino 2018 is excellent, showing the first complexities and facets of a happy evolution: hints of hydrocarbons and flint, it is characterised by being full-flavoured and elegant in the mouth, with great minerality.
