Inalto High-Altitude Wines
Our History
In 2015, Adolfo De Cecco, not yet thirty years old, returned to Abruzzo after a trip to Bordeaux and Etna, exploring excellent wine regions. He travelled the length and breadth of the region and, when he arrived in the Aquila area, he discovered that that high-altitude land is essential for obtaining wines with an elegant character from indigenous grape varieties. So Inalto was born, in 2018.
Ofena and the vineyards
The business’ base in Ofena, with its production area, tasting room, outlet and office, is a ‘chocolate box cellar’ between the village and the plain where the main Inalto vineyard is located.
The other vineyards are located in the municipalities of Acciano and Villa Santa Lucia degli Abruzzi, among the mountains of L’Aquila, up to 800 metres above sea level. Where the unique qualities of an ancient land are expressed to the full.
