Inalto High-Altitude Wines
by Adolfo De Cecco
Inalto tells the story of the most secret Abruzzo, the most cherished Abruzzo. Adolfo De Cecco's wine project is a new one but one with deep roots. He believes in traditional grape varieties that thrive at high altitudes. High-altitude wines with identity and elegance, with a prized and unmistakable character.
Wines 'Made in Italy'
produced in Abruzzo
Between the Tirino Valley and the Subequana Valley, between the municipalities of Ofena, Villa Santa Lucia and Acciano.
In a tenacious land of mountains as high as the Gran Sasso and full of plains where the vine has lived for centuries. In Abruzzo, Europe’s green region.
Our history
Vineyards that are almost a century old alongside recently planted vineyards. Twelve hectares of vineyards. Montepulciano, Pecorino and Trebbiano Abruzzese are the indigenous varieties that make up a decisive viticultural heritage for Inalto wines. All thanks to the exceptional pedoclimatic conditions of the different areas, between 400 and 800 metres above sea level.
Where high-quality viticulture at times becomes heroic.
«What struck us the most
is that we have found remains of old vineyards from as long as 100 years ago
and we realised that the Acciano area was once entirely cultivated with vines.»
